The proposal has been made by Alan Fromkin, who owns the five parcels along Main Street, Gerard Street and Stewart Avenue that he wants to build upon. The gross floor area for the pro- posal is 271,836 square feet. The building would include a nearly equal number of one- and two-bed- (Continued on page A14) Huge Support Voiced For Inn Plan By Janee Law jlaw @longislandergroup.com Northport Village Hall was packed Tuesday night with support- ers, and atleast one dissenter, of a plan to bring a boutique inn to Main Street. The support was voicedduring a public hearing on a proposal made by trustees to add a \Hotel/Inn\ des- ignation to village code, paving the way for the plan to move forward. Trustees are waiting on county and village planning department ap- proval before voting on the change. a the meantime, Trustee Ian Mil- ligan said he wasn't surprised by the support.
