Management Technology , Inc. of Washington , D.C. has announced the formation of Support Systems , a new division to be based temporarily In Washington , at corporate head quarters , pending establishment of divisional headquarters in New York. John L. Zoltak of Northport , has been named general manager of Support Systems , and Albert W. Blackburn of Huntington, New- York , a dire ctor of MTI , will provide corporate liaison. Support Systems was formed to provide independent technical management consultation for advanced maintenance support of complex military electronic and prime weapon systems. Other services offered include support studies , formulation of advanced testing techniques , test analysis , test program generation and interface compatibility design. Mr. Zoltak , formerly affiliated with PRD Electronics Inc. of Westbury, was responsible for various technical and program management aspects of the U.S. Navy ' s \Vast\ project . . Prior to joining PRD , Zoltak was with Autonetics , a division of North American Rockwell , engaged in the d evelopment of automatic test equipment for the Navy ' s RA-SC , A6A , E2A , and F—111 aircraft and NASA' s Apollo/LEM spacecraft. Thomas H. O'Brien , PRD . vice president and general manager , said the promotion reflected Mr. Helfs major role in PRD' s most important project , a computer-controlled system to test the electronic equipment on Naval aircraft. In the past 18 months alone , PRD has won $49.4 million in contracts for the \Versatile Avionic Shop Test\ (VAST) system. Before joining PRD in 1960 , Mr. Helf . was associated with General Dynamics Electronics and Sperry Gyroscope ' in engineering programs related to the design of automatic test equipment. He received his BSEE degree from Perm State University and his MSEE degree from the Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn. He is a senior member of the Institute of Electrical & Electronic Engineers and a graduate of Harris-Intertype Corporation ' s \Senior Executiv e D evelopment Program. \ Mr. Helf, his wife , Isobel , and two children reside at Lincoln Drive , East Northport . Thieves Take Flag, Plaque from Green Huntingt o n Town Councilman Richard Kinselfa has reported to the police that an American flag and an honor plaque was stolen from the Village Green , Park Avenue and Route 25A sometime between 3:00 -P.M. It was the first for many of the girls. They left Greenlawn station and rode to Port Jefferson and back. At the Centerport Fire Department ' s regular monthly meeting the following firemen were recognized for their service: Ken Swan 22 years; Fred Gerty 20 years ; Jim Hollacher 16 years; Roy Jaret 15 years ; Charles Terry Sr. 7 years. The department honored Ex-Chief Tom Utter on his 81st birthday by presenting him with a decorated birthday cake after the meeting. The departmen t responded to 22 first aid and rescue calls and 5 fire calls during March. Rescue Squad Captain Leroy Jaret announced a Standard First Aid course - would bo starting on Wednesday April 9th and continue weekly for five sessions. A special session on April 10th on cardiovascular- resuscitation will be given by Dr. D. Setnpowich . All sessions wi}l be at Headquarters at 8 P.M. Neighbors and firemen are invited. Capt. Jaret reported his squad has given a session on mouth-to-mouth resuscita tion to Cub Pack 213. He would like to remind the residents of the district that his squad is available to any local club or gro up for a lesson on the newest mouth-to-mouth resuscitation method.
