FEWER CASES LISTED ON COURT CALENDAR Supreme Court Schedule Is Cut To Less Than Half Of Last Year's Figure filing fees have sharply reduced the Nassau supreme court calendar, it was reported by Chief Clerk Edward Meaney today. The current trial term calendar contains 475 cases. On January 1 there were 600 cases and a year ago at this time, 1,000 cases. Meaney's report for the April term showed that Justice Charles J. Dodd disposed of 81 trial term cases and six special term cases while only 39 new trial term and seven special term cases were added to the calendar. The report showed that 24 cases were tried during the month and 40 were steeled. There was no part two ses- sion for April due to illness of one of the justices originally assigned. ®--_----_______.
