My daughter was o-ttocked with inflammation of the brain when about four months old, and was treated with calomel. In about three weeks after acrid sores appeared upon the surface, which continued for one year; then they disappeared, and attacked the inter nal organs, and she failed very fast; then scrof ula sores appeared in the eyes, which throat 'd Iheir destruction; for a long time we w’ere npelled to keep her in a dark room; they continued to spread over the head and earrs un til they ivere nearly one raw sore. She was truly in a horrible condition, and a very great sufferer, and we despaired of her recovery, and thought she must seon die.
