The exterior of the church has still to be completed; but the interior presented a beauti ful tppearance, as the congregation The s and elders of the Presbytery \The Church's One Foundation” as a pro cession of ministers and the robed senior and junior choirs marched down the center aisle. The church now has four blocks of seats, in stead of three; and two. pulpits or leeturns, one at either side. The walls are pale grey, with white panelling; there is indirect lighting all around t6e ceiling; three chandeliers over the center aisle; and a red velvet curtain at the h a tall gold of the Hamptons which had been given the free use of the Presbyter ian Session House for services. The sermon on Thursday night was given by a young man born in East Hampton, of one of the found ing families here—the Rev. David Mulford now pastor in Albany. N. Y. son of Mr. and Mrs. E. Courtland Mulford of this village. Rev. Mulford said that last spring when he and Mrs. Mulford were on the subjec about faith.\ i by 1 laller Taking part in the service were the Rev. Donald Broad, Presbytery Clerk, from Setauket; the Rev. Don ald Yule, of Amagansett; the Rev. George Wilson of S4g Harbor; the Rev. Dougherty, Moderator, from Mattituck who conducted the rcdedi- cation; and the Rev. Paul T. Bahner, formerly of East Hampton, now of Jex S. T*he pastor, the Renton, thanked all those who have taken part in the rebuilding of the church, and in preparations for the rededication service. Rev. Renton expressed the warm thanks of the congregation for a check from J. M. Kaplan of New York and the Sag Harbor Road, behalf of the Jewi congregation \ preached'in the 1717 * church, which stood next door to where Guild Hall stands today; that was on Sept. 1. 1861; and the first one preached in the \new\ church by Mr. Mershon, at its dedication, on Sept. 4, 1861. He recounted some of the early church history mentioned in that dedication sermon. Mr. Mulford's topic was ‘‘Now it is our turn.\ He urged his hearers to within the next few years, he pre dicted, the Christian churches will be called upon to take a stand as never before.
