Mrs. Dr. Reynale, Mrs. Henry Hart- man and Miss Frank Tousey left Dans- ville Tuesday to visit friends in Ypsilan- ti, Michigan Rev A L Cole, of Minoapolis, but who has been stopping at \Our Home\ for Die past year, 1ms just returned from an e\ten>ive trip through the east Rev. Miss Oliver, an ordained minis ter of the Methodist, denomination, who spoke ou temperance~in this village on deceased had been foully dealt with, or came to his death by acts of violence at his own hands. The remains were found In a ploce of woods about six miles from Woll»ville. The woods covered about one and one- half ncreB of land, but were grown up so. densely with briar bushes that rendered^ 1 it almost impossible for any human be-< ing to make their way through them. In 1805, while picking berries, a woman* in that vicinity discovered a soldier's ^TSrcoat jij.nd a rubftoji^ lying on a -log; vlkatliig ab 'aily retreat, the made no marks to enable her to return to the place. It'waa about two rods from that log that the remains of Mr. Kershner were found. His teeth were In a perfect state of preservation, a lead pencil which he was known to have carried was found, togolher with buttons from the coat he wore when last seen. A lock of hair waa also discovered under the skull where It had been protected from the firo set to the forest by tho owner of the land. These. .(^Valences enabled his brothers, ana Other refatl ves and friends to identi fy the K -uiains beyond all question of doubt as being those of Mr. Jos Kershner. Its people; Miss Adams preseptcd the reli gioits, social and moral condition of the Siamese, and Dr. Shepherd the early work of missionaries and the later work of the Presbyterian church in that coun try. The audience were highly de lighted with these addresses and obtained much information that was of a desirable nature The addresses were brief, and the compilation of facts presented showed that much thought nnd attention hud been given to their preparation, and they were well read.
