In adcitjoD to this, we have occasion to know”that the’ Attorney General has been frequently called u.ppn to attendito business | t the terms of the supreme court, seal to him by Mr? SpenceJ, and connected! with his official duties, and that all sulh business has been promptly attended to and precisely according to request; and that on one occasion, when the offiei »J duties of the Attorney Gene ral compjelled him to be absent from the court, a'distinguished counsellor was employed to do the business of the Spe cial Attoruey, and his counsel fee v/as. paid by Ihe state. If he does not choose to rest it here and here alone, we challenge him to sj>ecify another act of refusal or a sibgle instance of inattention to his demands.
