Cahill, he claims that lie did not enter the mall wngon from which the loot was removed, near tho corner of Broadway and Leonard Street, but only drove the car. Loerber, Anderson and Chnpman were arrested July 3 by Jost Office In- spector Jo.seph Vlck on informatoln obtained by Gordon T. McCarthy, a special agent for the American Hall- way Express. McCarthy gulncd their confidence by posing as n safe blower and they gavo him some bonds to negotiate Jeremiah Lavelll, a former employe In the downtown post office, now Is under a scpartte charge of aiding nnd abetting tho robbery.
