Clean Up Day The Beautification Com- mittee of East Rockaway is proud and excited to announce that Clean-Up Day will be held in our very own Village on Saturday, November 7th, 1987 begin- ning at 10:00 A.M. The goal of the day is to add a feeling of pride and admiration to our great Vil- lage by enhancing its looks through a general clean up. Various youth groups will be involved in community service to clean up litter and to eliminate weeds on side- walks and curbs. They will meet in the parking lot behind the Sunoco gas sta- tion on Main Street at 10:00 A.M. The targeted areas will be Main Street and Atlantic Avenue. Certificates will be pre- sented to merchants who have contributed to the beautification of the Village Obituary William P. Geier, Jr. of Lynbrook died on Thurs- day, October 29, 1987. He is survived by daughters Carol Clemente and Joan, sons William and Albert, as well as nine grandchildren. Fun- eral arrangements were made by Flinch and Bruns Funeral Home, and inter- ment was at the Long Island National Cemetery, Calver- ton. New York. It's out of this world—a nebula, that is. These mas- ses of glowing gas, mil- lions of miles across, are visible from 900,000 light years away. Each is as large as an entire galaxy like our own.
