Bishop to Confirm Parishioners East Rockaway High School had its first Home football game on Thursday, October 1st. The cheerleaders pictured above urged their team on to a 27-0 victory over Valley Stream North High School. The second Home football game will be held on Saturday, October 10, at 1:00 PM. The homecoming football game will be held on Saturday, November 7, at 1:00 PM. Please come out and support your local team. Bishop Markiewicz The Most Rev. Alfred J. If the child is young, please accompany him or her each step of the way. Ask your child not to consume any offer- ings until they can be inspected at home. Make sure the costume if fireproof and fits properly in order to avoid falling. Make-up can be used instead of a mask to insure good visibility. PTAs can encourage carnivals and other activities on October 31 and keep the children off the streets after dark. The stores can use prudent judgement regarding the sale of eggs and especially spray paints that cause costly damage. If the treat is unwrapped, do not give it to the youngsters. They should throw away any unwrapped treats immediately. Pennies or food coupons are a good suggestion instead of the usual treats. Draw, Pardner! 1 don't see the government putting an end to the right to drive an automobile, which has been licensed for years, and I strongly believe that the safety of law-abiding citizens man- dates that the owner of a gun know how to use it. If steps are taken to outlaw guns for average citizens. Til be one of the first to raise my voice in protest, but as of now, I can see no reason why the holder of a deadly weapon can walk around without the requisite knowledge of its proper use.
