Christmas Caroling Our English forefather brought the beautiful tra dition of caroling on Christ mas Eve to America. The word \carol*' mean \to sing joyously,\ and in deed when you are out with« group of friends on a crisp clear night, amid the twinki ing Christmas lights and per hs^s a dash of crunchy snow it cs a joyous time- Our most familiar carol; seem to have come from thf 19th century. Francis Scotl' Key, author of \The Stai Spangled Banner, wrote carols, and it may be inter- esting for you to know that the comedian Harpo Marx was the author of a popular Christmas carol!
