KISCO - Plans for a winter carnival to benefit Northern Westchester Hospital were unveiled Tuesday mor ning by carnival chairman Mrs. Richard Hart of Bedford. A downhill ski meet, skating, a cross country ski meet and an ice sculpture contest are some of the activities scheduled for the carnival, which will run January 30 through February 4. The purpose of the carnival is two-fold, according to Mrs. Hart. \The main idea is to stir more interest and make people more aware of the hospital. We also hope to make some money for the hospital.\ The program will get under way with ski movies. Demonstration and other ski films will be distributed throughout the area schools. A downhill ski meet on Thursday, February 1, will kick off the actual carnival. The event, to be held at Big Birch ski area in Patterson, will feature both scholastic .and family racing.
