With much enthusiasm and much “ Eats ” we gathered in the Domestic Science Kitchen for a Tureen Supper, with Miss Reagan and Miss Dowd as our guests. One of the main features of the evening was a witty oration by “ Tu- tie ” Cohen, about her trip to New York and how she cleverly secured on the train the many slipper-spooms for her stunt book. An unforeseen exigency occurred in which the leg on Katherine Mc- Evoy ’ s silver casserole were melted in the oven. \Kit ” wants the school at large to know she has lost her silver legs. Regular election and installation of officers was held after the event, with the following result: President (re-elected) — ■ Eugenia Wade. Recording Secretary — Katherine McEvoy. Parliamentary Critic (re-elected) — Mildred Toulson. Literary Critic — Anne Dunn. Guard — Thelma Baldwin. Literary Editor — Mabel Rodman. ALPHA DELTA NOTES We, the Alpha Deltas have elected the following officers to guide us through our trials and social functions for the next ten weeks: President — Bella Thompson. Vice-President — Marion Green. Treasurer — Martha Smith. Recording Secretary — Doris Traut- man. Corresponding Secretary — Marion Smith. Critic — Ruth Mathews. Marshal — Ruth Clark. Reporter — Elizabeth Saxe. Assistant Reporter — Margaret J ones. During the past two weeks we have had some very enjoyable parties, in cluding a straw-ride out to Sister Blanchard ’ s, where every one ’ s clever ness showed forth in an amusing stunt. Last Saturday night a Solomon Gundi party was given for the entertainment of our guests. “ A Successful Opera tion, ” by competent doctor and nur ses, was performed; “Just Being Hap py ” was danced by one of our “ little ” girls. A clever song composed and sung by two of our Honorary Sisters quite surprised us. “ A Royal Trag edy ” in three acts was staged- Two selections, “ The Music Box ” and “ Dancing Doll, ” were played for us by another Honorary Sister. Some of our Alumnae Sisters and many fresh men enjoyed the fun with us. We are looking forward to the return of our beloved club mother, Miss Trumbull. She will be welcomed by each and every sister. Here ’ s hoping that everyone had a most delightful time over the holidays and is prepared to tackle his or her exams with the greatest zest. We had an exciting campaign up in the club room the other day. No serious casualties were reported, how ever. When the dust cleared away, we found the following officials in charge : President — Dorothy Moench. Vice President — Beryl Tennant. Secretary — Clarice Parker. Treasurer — Mary Stiles. Sargeant-at-arms — Mildred Shaw. Literary Editor — Evelyn Burr. Parliamentary Critic — Irene Grib- bohn. Literary Critic — Elizabeth Durkin. Guard — Jessie Brandow. Tellers — Lucia Stewart and Martha Nichols. Not long ago, we had a fudge sale. It was short and sweet, but the re turns were real and very welcome. We hope no one suffered any ill effects so that we may expect you to “ come again ” sometime. THETA PHI Again we ate but not people this time. Theta Phi girls served to ninety people a very good supper of baked beans, potatoes, salad, jello, cake and rolls. Ask anyone who was there if our chefs are not efficient in cooking. Last week some Freshman girls were entertained at a rush party. Stunts were carried on for the enjoyment of onlookers and partakers. Light re freshments kept us from starving to death before the party was over. This week we intend to entertain some members of the faculty. Per haps they ’ ll entertain us later. STATION C.N. S. BROADCASTING Howdy-folks: If you see a fellow around the build ing with a little silver K on his sweater, don ’ t think that he ’ s a Ku Kluxer, for he isn ’ t. He is one of our promising pledgeers who are soon to help make Tri Kappa a leading organization of the school. We have issued a goodly number of these pins and if Dec. 4th doesn ’ t prove to be a hoodoo, a bang up initiation will follow soon after that date. We are still receiving compliments over “ Strong heart. ” Quite a few have asked us to repeat it, but we think that we should let well enough alone. The other clubs have our best wishes for the success of their productions. Two of our fraters have been appointed managers of two spring sports. Frank Baron will rake up the base ball diamond while Ralph Blair will push the roller over the cinder- path. Compliments of Cortland House Barber Shop ADAMS A. G.
