TIMES - PAGE 7 - DECEMBER 24,1996 Macedon Man Pleads Guilty To Harassing Wife Wayne County Sheriffs Deputies Roger LaClair and Carl Adriaansen responded to a report of a physical domestic fight in the Town of Macedon on Sunday (Dec. 15) at 7:35 p.m. After an investigation, police arrested Michael J. Zemaitis, age 42, of 2698 Haak Road in Macedon. Zemaitis was charged with harassment in the 2nd Degree after he allegedly pulled his wife's hair and pushed her into the kitchen counter. He was taken to Macedon Town Court where he plead guilty. he was released on his own recognizance, pending a sentencing investigation. A Court Order of Protection was issued. As a result of a change in New York State Law, all weapons were removed from the residence and taken into police custody pending the final out- come of the court procedure. Ontario Man Charged Following Harassing Calls Wayne County Sheriffs Deputy Paul Montemorano reported the arrest at 12:20 a.m. on Wednesday of Floyd B. Sledge, age 36, of Furnace Road in Ontario. Sledge was charged with Aggravated Harassment in the 2nd degree after he allegedly made numerous phone calls and used profanity over the phone to a residence on Ontario-Walworth Road, he had been told not to call. He was arraigned in Ontario Town Court and released to appear at a later date. Call Leads To DWI Arrest In Ontario State Trooper John DelGaudio received a civilian call of an erratic driver at 12:04 a.m on Thursday. He located the vehicle headed eastbound on Route 104. The driver was stopped after turning southbound on Route 21 in Williamson. Charged with Moving from Lane Unsafely and Driving While Intoxicated was William L. Burgess, age 34, of 215 Scott Street, Apt. 2, in Newark. Tests show Burgess had a blood alcohol content of -12. He was released to appear in Williamson Court on Janu-. ary 8th. Newark Woman Charged With Welfare Fraud State Police Investigator Pete McCormick and Trooper Terry Clark reported the arrest on Friday of Kath- leen M. Rivas, age 44, of 112 Wood- side Drive in Newark. Rivas was picked up at the Wayne County Jail, where she is an inmate, and arraigned on Grand Larceny in the 4th Degree, two counts of Filing a False Instrument in the 1st Degree, and Felony Misuse of Food Stamps. The charges stem from a complaint by the Wayne County Social Services Department. Rivas was arraigned and remanded back to jail on $5000 cash 1 4 -& - -- - -- - .- +. . -. & .-. -- -2% \ a Williamson Teen Charged With UPM On School Grounds State Trooper Tim Waild received a complaint of a student with marijuana on the Williamson High School on Fri- day. The student, Shaun Michaelson, age, 18, of 4311 East Lake Road in Wil- liamson, was located in the school parking lot at 4 p.m. and charged with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana. He is scheduled to appear in Williamson Town Court on January 15th. Palmyra Woman Charged With DWI State Trooper Larry Wolkonowski stopped a woman for Driving Without Headlights at 4:40 p.m. on Sunday (Dec. 15) on Route 88 in the Village of Newark. Subsequently, Ella Dilworth, age 53, of 232 East Main Street in Palmyra, was charged with Driving While Intoxi- cated and Aggravated Unlicensed Oper- ation in the 3rd Degree. Dilworth is scheduled to appear in Newark Village Court on January 15th. Tests show Dilworth had a blood alco- hol content of .14. Man Charged With UPM Following Traffic Stop State Trooper Larry Wolkonowski, pursuant to a traffic stop at 2:45 a.m. on Sunday (Dec. 15) on Route 31 in the Town of Palmyra, arrested Charles Breeding, age 34, of 4979 Route 31 in Newark. Breeding was charged with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana and will appear in Town of Palmyra Town Court on January 15th. woman' charged With DWI State Trooper Robert Frost reported stopping a vehicle on Thursday at 12:26 a.m. in the Village of Clyde. The driver, Violia B. Cole, age 33, of 36 Wayne Avenue -in Clyde was charged with Driving While Intoxicat- ed. Tests show she had a blood alcohol content of -26. I I A WHEN THE HOLIDAY @ OVER DONT FORGET 40: Arrest Made In Gananda State ' Police hvestigator Pete McCormick reported the arrest of Jonathan W. Cummings, age 18, of 2984 Wiedrick Road in Macedon. Cummings was charged with Crimi- nal Possession of Stolen Property after police recovered a stolen beer keg and tap and several other items. The items were reported stolen in burglaries and thefts which occurred in the Sunrise Drive area of Gananda on Saturday evening, December 7th. Cummings will appear in Macedon town court on January 7th. More arrests and charges are expected in the case. Tis' The Season! Stealing Vacuum Cleaners State Police. reported receiving a call from the Ames Department Store in Macedon on Thursday around 1:30 p.m. Store personnel reported that a white female in a lime green vehicle with a white top allegedly stole two vacuum cleaners out of the store. The Eureh brand cleaners, one an upright valued at $139.99 and a canister type, valued at $199.99 were taken out the fiont door. A license plate was taken but did not come back to the vehicle described. Anyone with information is asked to call the state Police at 986-4208. Man Charged With UPM While Appearing In Court For UPM State Trooper Gary Nuessle trav- eled to Sodus Court on Wednesday night to serve vehicle and traffic war- rants on a man appearing for arraign- ment for Unlawful Possession of Mari- juana. Upon searching the man, police found him in possession of a marijuana cigarette. Charged again with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana was Glenn F. Williams, age 40, of 8 Newark Street in Sodus. Macedon Loud Muffler Leads To Arrest State Trooper Bruce Dake stopped a vehicle in Macedon on Saturday (Dec. 14) for a Loud Muffler. Subse- quently, Lee McQurrie, age 25, of 625 .Route 3 1 in Macedon, was addi- tionally charged with Unlawful Posses- sion of Marijuana, Unlicensed Opera- tion, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 3rd Degree, and Driving on a Suspended Registration. McQurrie is scheduled to aphear in Macedon To~n~Court on January 28th to answer to the charges. Williamson Woman Falls Asleep At The Wheel State Trooper Steve Mowers responded to a one car crash on Route 104 in the Town of Sodus on Sunday (Dec. 15). According to police, Dorothy L. Green, age 45, of 5072 King Street in Williamson was westbound on Route 104 when she apparently fell asleep. Her vehicle over corrected and she xossed the lane, smashing head-on into a tree. She was transported to Myers Com- munity Hospital with chest injuries.
