Clyde won with a final score of 44-52. In the second quarter, Williamson was ahead by three points, but soon lost their momentum. Scoring by quarters: Clyde 10, Williamson 7 in the lst, Williamson 23, Clyde 20 at at the half; Clyde 44, Williamson 34 in the third and Clyde 55, Williamson 44 in the fourth. The Pal-Mac Girls Varsity team came up with a loss to .Lvons on December 16, by one point in overtime. Undefeated Lyons a@ undefeated Pal-Mac squared off at Palmyra with first place at stake. Lyons gave Pal-Mac its fmt league loss in 2 years. Lyons started with a 7-0 run but Pal-Mac came right back with a 15-2 run led by Sarah Baggott. Baggott has 10 first half points. The first quarter ended with Pal-Mac 15, Lyons 10 and at the half it was Pal-Mac 24, Lyons 23. The third quarter ended with pal-Mac at 33, Lyons at 32. The game went back and forth until the bell when both teams had earned 48 points. Lyons outkored Pal-Mac in overtime with a Pal-Mac shot just missing at the fun. Breynn Trombino led all scorers for Lyons with 19 points, while Janthe Knight had 10 point. and 18 rebounds. The original proposal would have drained the water away from the road and into a nearby field, reported Town Engineer Paul Russell. To \do the job correct- ly,\ Russell stated, \the slope needs to be extended so the water will flow into the wetlands.\ The extended project will \do the job to take care of the drainage prob- lems and also work well with neighbors. It will be a project we can be proud of,\ Russell concluded. At an upcoming meeting the Board will be addressing the concern regarding alcohol consumption being allowed at Ginegaw Park. Parks and Recreation Director Deb Germain reported a sug- gestion from Recreation Committee member Ron Way that language be added to park rules that wmld prohibit all alcohol use in the park when youth pro- grams are in progress. The issue will be addressed when the Town attorney has sufficient answers for liability issues. During the Public participation por- tion of the meeting, resident Paul D eM inc k expressed his disagreement with a recent article and county budget vote by Walworth Supervisor Peg C hu rc hill. He specifically cited concern for the frequency of reassessments in the town, suggesting that the Board uses it as a tactic to increase revenue without increasing the tax rate. Supervisor Churchill note that the state requires reassessments on a regular basis - it's the law- and that Walworth residents are being punished, not by assessments, but by the equalization rate. She urged every resident to write to Senator Mike Nozzolio and Assemblyman Bob Oaks to protest that rate.
