The theme of the event was bal- loons, with the committee slogan being \Up up and away - our children need a place to play!\ As part of the festivities, a hellium ballon race was held, where the balloons were released and tracked. A postcard inside-each balloon was to be returned with the location of its landing noted. The winner who released the furthest-flying ballon was 2 1 month old Michael \Mikey\ Murray of Foxglove Court. Mikey's balloon landed in Maine, New York (between Ringham- ton and Owego). Other landings were noted in Geneva, Clifton Springs, Waterloo and Seneca Falls. ' The three lucky winners of a ride in a hot air balloon (Grand prize of the evening's raffle) were: Mary Ellen Reese of Pennyroyal court, Wade Holdraker of Nonesuch Court, and Janet Bilinski of Woods Edge.
