It was apparently aim ed at those who picked UB to score over 50 points In the gam e on the basis of last year's 54-6 win. Offenhamer then w e n t on to am p lify his original statem e n t. “My main ta s k /' explained the UB m entor, “is to elim inate the m echanical m istakes which can often mean the difference between w inning and losing.” Willie Evans scored the first But. Some observers felt that the easy touch down after the lopsided w in of last Buason caused the Bulls to relax Here again, Offenhamer has to disagree. “Didn’t we storm right back on K owalski’s inter ception?” questioned Offenha mer. But Kowalski fumbled after go-ing to the Tem p le 20 yard line and th e O w ls re covered. UB was also stopped short of the goal line w ith a third down situ ation from the one, and fumbled on the Temple 12 yard line which halted a scoring threat after the second half kickoff. Tem p le’s sec ond touchdown was set up by a bad Student Bowling Loop Planned A new bowling league is being formed under the auspices of the recreation com m ittee, chairm anned by Conrad Sharrow. The league is open to all fulltim e students, men AXD women. The bowlers will m eet Thurs days, 3.30 to 5:30, a t the Am herst Bowling Alley. A preliminary meeting of the captains will be held on Thursday a t 3 :30 to decide the details of the organization. Applications for four-men team s are available at Room 265 Norton Hall. UB will face McMaster on Monday, while Fredonia will provide the Bulls’ opposition on Thursday. Bob Ober, a junior letterm a n , is Buffalo’s No. 1 man, andi leading m edalist at this time.
