Corsages in the so* rorlty colors w ere given to each rushee. A fter dinner we w ere en tertained by a very enjoyable fashion show given, by Tore. The program concluded with a song- fest, highlighted by the candle lighting ceremony. The sorority expresses sincere appreciation for the extra efforts of Nan Dossert and Lyn Schmitz during the rushing period. Theta Chi Sorority Theta Chl’e formal ruth party was held Thursday night at the General Brock Hotel In Niagara Falla. A wonderful tkne wae had by all. Joan Mullen was appointed chairman for Theta Chi's part In the Inter-fraternlty alng. Sigma Delta Tau A party will be held on Novem ber 18, 1949 at T u ttle Greenbaum ’s house. Plans are being form u lated for the active chapter to engage In volunteer work at the V e terans’ Hospital. At our next m eeting we will be honored by having our regional ad visor. Miss Jean Taylor, visit us. The next meeting will be held at the Jewish Center on Monday, Nov. 14. 1949. Chi Omega The last meeting of Chi Omega was held at the soror ity apartment on Depew Ave. Plans were completed for the formal rush which was held Wednesday at Anne Hartman’s. Congratulations to' Shirley Allen and Dottle Barone for being chosen to serve on the Junior Prom Committee; also to Ellen Summers and Ruth Flach who are on the Christ mas Dance Committee. Alpha Phi Delta Brother Oraziano, solicitor of alms, reported a successful drive by his extortion committee. A testim o n ial brawl is being planned for November 18. Only 70% of net receipts have been ap propriated for this modest affair. Brother Migliore delivered a forceful m essage to the pledges. Us uplifting effect was partially due to his aptness in driving home hard facta. Alpha Phi Omega On behalf of the pledges, Guy Johnson, Pledge Chairman, challenged the regular mem bers to a football game. Bob Smith II, Pledge Master and Sports Chairman, accepted. The game Is to be played Nov. 10 at 4:00 P.M. There will be a wiener roast and dance Saturday evening, Nov. 12 for the regular mem bers and pledges. \Howie\ Fish has taken re sponsibility for working up a group to represent our frater nity at the Inter-Fraternity Song Fest which will be held the third week in December. All mem- bera should have all or most of their raffle tickets sold by now and should start making re turns to Messrs. Smith, Swan son, Schaeffer or Burke as ■oon as possible.
