Dreacher and Lee Magyar won the men’s and women’s divisions of the Norton Union Bowling Party held recently In the Bailey Bowling Academy. They topped a field of nearly 70 contestants. Mr. Drescher had a three-game total of 552 points and Miss Magyar had 482. The party, sponsored by the Norton Union Outing Commit tee, was the first of Its type for the year. B. basketball quintet opened its twen ty-one game schedule by routing the Ontario Aggies, 68-32, in a hard fought but rather loosely played contest last Saturday in Clark Gymnasium. It was obvious that the team has great potential ity but, naturally enough, is still far from its peak. To those who may be overly critical, let them re alize that it was the Bulls’ first game. At the half, the game was fairly close with U. B. holding a 24-16 lead. After the intermission, the Bulls ran away with the score. Ck>ach Mai Eiken started Lou Corriere and Len Serfustinl at forwards, Paul Brady at center, and George D’Addario and Captain Bill Rudick at the guard posts. This five ran up a 9-0 lead in short order. The visitors then tallied twice to make it 9-4, but D’Addar io and Bill Needham dropped sets cut the lead to 13-8 on two fouls and a lay-up. A new U. Then Hays sunk a foul, Harvey; hit for two points, and Myers cut the lead to 22-14 with a free shot. Eldridge dumped In another bucket but Harvey of the visitors tallied to make the half-time count, 24-16. The Bull ran the Aggies right oft the floor during the second half. Brady and Serfustinl tallied on push-ups, but Cooms got ond back. Then Corriere and Brady;, scored again, making It 32-18 as\ the Aggies began wondering how the ball could move so fak. Cun ningham stopped the parade with a foul shot, but Serfustinl dropped in a neat two-pointer. Corman got a free throw which was balanced by Brady’s successful try. Then Lou Corriere hit for two buckets on a, fast break with Brady adding to the carnage as the score read, 41-20. Myers got another foul shot, but Needham connected with a seL Harvey then did his best to cut the deficit as he hit' for six points.
