The excellent defensive play on the part of the local guards ip holding their opponents to but four field goals and the consistent work by the local forwards, were responsible for the de cisive defeat of the “Flower City” ag gregation. Carrie and Allendorf excelled for Buffalo, while Green and Doyle did effective work for the visitors. In the last issue of “'The Bison,” in an editorial entitled “The Trou ble with ‘Let’s Go, Buffalo” ”, a blanket accusation of inefficiency was hurled against all the mem bers of the Athletic Council and the coaching staff. If this accusa tion is true, and can be substantiat ed with facts, “The Bee” wishes to aid “The Bison” in such a di.sclos- ure, and will do all in its power to lay the facts before the University. “The Bee” believes that too vital an issue has been raised to be al lowed to lie dormant. Therefore, it opens its columns to all who have facts to disclose on either side of this controversy. All articles must be signed, and must include the address of the contributor. THE EDITOR. Dual Celebration of Washington s Birthday Exercises in the Morning Dinner at Night The twenty-second celebration of W ashington’s Birthday, as University Day, will take its customary form of a convocation in the moming at the Teck Theater and the Alumni Dinner at the Statler Hotel in the evening. The convocations of late years have furnished an opportunity not only of hearing a widely-known speaker, but also for a display of University spirit. Last year, athletic letters were award ed to members of the football teaii, and that program, or a modification, will be repeated this year, so that every member of the University, teacher, alumnus, or .student, shouki be present. The convocation speaker this year is to be Dr. Kerr Duncan MacMillan, piesident of Wells College. Dr. Mac millan came to Wells about six yeai.-, ago from Princeton, and his adminis tration in that .short time has achiev ed some far-reaching results. WelTs is a small college and has never had growing pains; it is content to be small and to do its work thoroughly rather than aspire to rival the larger institutions. Its faculty is one of the best in the country, thanks, largely, to the inspiration of the present prt^»- ident. A niece of Dean Gregory, Dr. Emily Gregory Hickman, is the well- known professor of American History there. Continued on Pape -I Glee Club Concert Tonight! Plans Busy Season The Univer.sity of Buffalo Glee Club has established it.self as a worthwhile University Function and is now going ahead to make itself the best non- athletic activity in the University. The first concert of this year’s program is being held tonight at the Centi’al Presbyterian Church, in conjunction with the University Orchestra. On the night of the 22nd of February, the Club will sing a t the joint Dinner of the Federated Alumni and the U.-B. Club. A trip has been .scheduled for the Club, including concerts at Gow- anda, Tonawanda and Batavia. A lim ited number will probably attend the meeting of the Rochester Branch of the Alumni Association in April. The program at the Home Concert will be entirely different from that presented tonight. The Orchestra is also becoming a vital factor in musical circles. Under the able direction of Mr. Fuhnnan, it will pre.sent some very good classical numbers. These concerts will deserve the support of every member of the University and every lover of good music in Buffalo. Reserve the date!
