The previous day was their ninth birthday party, which the Phi Lam b 's celebrated with a spaghetti dinner at the Hotel. The only way to move this merchandise is to mark it down (or throw it and that's sort of is an unfortunate situation, but if the store did not Halloween decorations, people w o u ld com p lain about that instead of the sales. When the need arises, the bookstore does alter its hours, such as the first few days of the semester, the busiest time for the store. Student help seemed to be discouraged because a student could more easily be put into an uncom fortable situation by a friend w h o really needs that book for the next day's test, but just doesn't have tne money. Future investigations into the bookstore's problems, as well as those of other organizations that are targets of student comment in future Lam ron issues.
