D r u m m o n d , Editor The trustees of Syracuse University have accepted plans for the new $100 ,0 0 0 dormitory to b e erected in College Place. They also voted to expend $ 1 0 0 ,0 0 0 fo r the erection of a new chemical labora tory'. In addition, their alumni committee presented plans for the construction of a new $25,000 auditorium. The library of Princeton University now numbers close to 30 0 ,00 0 volumes, exclusive of duplicates and pamphlets. Although the library is growing rapidly, it will be som e time before the capacity o f the building, about 1,2 0 0 ,0 0 0 volumes, is reached. Yale now has fifty-two alumni associations and clubs throughout the United States. The disclosure of the fact that for twelve years Yale has had a growing sinking fund is creating quite a stir. This fund has been increased from year to year till now it amounts to nearly $130,0 0 0 . Since this has become known it is probable that it will be drawn upon to pay for the new Yale boat house. The U n iversity of Pennsylvania h a s received a gift of $50,000 from Eckley Brinton Coxe, Jr., to b e used for the new dormitory,
