H e r a ld P r ize S t o r y C o n test 1 66 The Hobart Herald 1. T h e Board of Control will give two prizes of $10.00 each for the best stories submitted to the Board of Editors of the Hobart Herald. The first prize of $10.00 will be awarded in March, 1906, and the second of $10.00 will be awarded in June, 1906. 2. A l l stories for the March prize must be submitted before Feb. 20, 1906, and fo r the June prize before M a y 19, 1906. 3. A ll stories must be written by a bona fide undergraduate of Hobart College and no limit will be placed upon the number of stories composed by one person. 4. A ll stories whether awarded the prize or not will be the perma nent property of the Board of Editors of the Hobart Herald. 5. N o names shall be signed to the stories but each manuscript must be mailed, numbered and accompanied by a sealed envelope containing the author’s name with the number on the outside of the envelope. 6. T h e stories must contain at least 1500 words and not more than 2 5 0 0 words. No limitations are placed on subject matter. 7. T h e members of the Board of Editors of the Herald assisted by two faculty members shall judge the stories submitted. 8. A n y contestant who hints at or divulges in any manner the subject matter or the authorship of his story will d isqualify that story.
