Smith, retired pastor of St. Cecilia Church, El- mira, was offered in Immacu- late Conception Church, Roches^ ter, Friday, Nov. 10. Mrs. Hartell, 85, of 15 Chelms- ford Road, Brighton, a member of Immaculate Conception Church Rosary Society for more than 50 years died Nov. 8, 1961. REQUIEM MASS was cele- brated by the Rev. William J. Spellecy. Rev. William M. Can- nan and Father Smith were present in the Sanctuary. Mrs. Hartell resided on Co- lumbia Ave. until three years ago. She was the daughter of Joseph A. Smith, a Civil War veteran. She was educated in Immacu- late Concoption School and the old Rochester\ Free AcarJemy. Her husband William A. Har- tell, a retired Eastman Kodak Co.. employee, ' died six yfcara ago. , Mrs. Hartell Is survived by two daughters. Carmel E. Har- tell and Mrs. Edwin (Hilda) Martin; one granddaughter, Kathleen Anne Martin; three brothers, Father Smith, and Jo- seph Smith.
