STUDENT COUNCIL Student Council is now undertaking many new projects. A committee \ .:• formed to revise the Student Association Constitution was to meet the needs of a growing student body. One revision, for example, will be to give the nurses a vote in the council. In order to pass the revision the whole student body will have to vote on each revision,and it must be passed by two-thirds vote* Student Council is selling Christmas cards this year for a -~iey- making project. These cards were'designed by Antone Mickle. We would appreciate any help in selling these cards that you could give us. If you are interested in buying or selling these, get in contact with someone from Student Council.. Also, a committee has been set up for a survey of what can be done about student code of dress. This has been a controversial subject for a long time, and the Student Council wants to try and settle it. There has been some questions as to the purpose aiid the functions of the Student Activities Board of Control.' At the next meeting, Mr a Phillips, a member of this group, will address the Student Council in regard to the matter, Many new clubs have been chartered by Student Council, for example, Circle K.. Many others are in the process of being chartered. If any of the Clubs haven't submitted constitutions for approval, turn them into Dave Propeck. CHORUS T efferson Community College chorus has a new director, Mr. Patrick Malarney, a recent graduate of the State University at Potsdam. The new Secretary-Treasurer is Joyce Brink. Chorus now meets in the Amphitheater on Tuesday nights at 7^30. An informal coffee hour is planned for Friday, December 17, at noon to acquaint the students with the chorus.. Free coffee and co.okies\ will be;' served, and Christmas carols will be sung. Also, the chorus is planning '• to sing carols at the Jefferson County Home on Coffeen Street, near the college on Tuesday night, December 14. ! Students are still welcome are urged to join chorus. •. -•' * -x- * # * Members of the Tefferson County Guidance Counselors Association w-ere recent guests of the college for a day of touring, panel discusslons; demonstrations, and etc. ,, . .,..
