Obituaries Thomas Klei Jr. Thomas Klei Jr., a prominent Suffolk County attor- ney, died on November 26 at the age of 51. During his youth he was an extraordinary student who graduated from St. Anthony's High School in South Huntington at the age of 16. He went on to eam academic honors at Boston College and then earned his law degree from St. John's University. Mr. Klei began his career representing the New York City Police Benevolent Association, working nine years for the firm of Richard Hartman. In the 1980s, he start- ed a private practice in Hauppauge and also began working as an attomey for the Town of Huntington's Community Development unit. He later became a town deputy attorney. He handled several high profile cases. His defense of Sal Ingilan, who was involved in the Katie Beers case. attracted national attention. His first love was his family, followed by sports and his home. He loved to play golf when he had the time. He was actively involved with the Eaton's Neck Basketball Association, serving as a timer-scorekeeper for many years. He loved working around his house, a landmark in Northport and once owned by New York City Mayor Jimmy Walker. He enjoyed having family get-togethers at his house where he served not only as host, but also chef. Cooking was also a passion. Mr. Klei succumbed to a very rare form of malanoma. He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Laurie; his three children, Thomas, age 17, Kristen, age 15, and Steven, age 13; his parents, Ins and Tom, a former District Court Judge; and his brother. Daniel. A funeral Mass was held at St. Philip Nen Church in Northport. In lieu of flowers, donations in Tom's memory to Youth Sports at St. Philip Nen Church would be greatly appreciated. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Nolan & Taylor-Howe Funeral Home of Northport Arna Pannone Anna Pannone of Huntington died on November 15 at the age of 89. Ms. Pannone was bom on June 4. 1916 in Long Island City, the daughter of Gennaro Pannone and Antonetta di Tomaso. She was a seamstress in the International Ladies Garment Workers Union Ms. Pannone is survived by her nephew. William Pannone and his wife Rosemary. A funeral service was held at St. Francis of Assisi Church, followed by interment at St. Patnck's Cemetery.
