MORGAN A hazardous condition was reported on November 27 at 8:57 am from Beach Avenue near Woodbine Avenue on Scudder Beach where a boat ramp was said to be deteriorating. A bar was protruding and was a threat to vehicle and boat trailer tires. Superintendent of Pubic Works was notified. Arrest One arrest was effected by Northport officers. On December 1 at 1:40 pm on Fenwick Street in Greenlawn where a 30-year old male was taken into cus- tody on a warrant issued by Northport Village Court. He was transported to . Headquarters where judge was notified about arraignment. Leaving the scene At 1:34 pm on December 1 on Fort Salonga Road a 2002 blue Subaru Legacy (identified) was reported to have left the scene of an incident. A second leaving-the-scene inci- dent occurred on November 27 at 2:25 pm on Fort Salonga Road near Gilbert Street. Property was reported damaged by a 1998 black Jeep Grand Cherokee (identified) that fled the scene of the incident. On November 30 at 1:25 pm police unit was vectored to an apartment on Fort Salonga Road near Lincoln Avenue. Female complainant stated her 2004 Toyota Highlander had been struck by another vehicle that fled the scene. A witness stated a white vehicle (identified) had backed into com- plainant's vehicle. The driver exited his car and checked both vehicles for damage and mentioned to witness there was no damage. He then left the area. On arrival police officer checked the Toyota and found a very minor paint scratch that may or may not have been caused by the vehicle in question. Message was left for registered owner 10 contact officer. Suspicious circumstance On Chestnut Circle near Laurel Street on November 28 at 4:21 am male complainant reported a male walking around his wife's vehicle in the driveway. Police searched the area with negative results. On Church Street at 7:33 pm on November 28 an occupied vehicle was reported disabled with its hazard lights flashing. It was a dark green 1995 Toyota Camry (identified). It had been stopped in front of complainant's resi- dence for a while. On arrival police spoke to occupant who explained he had a flat tire and was awaiting assis- tance. Disturbance Complainant reported a gas odor from within a bank on Main Street near Woodbine Avenue on November 30 at 2:20 pm. Police and fire department per- sonnel checked the locale, but discovered no gas odor. Male complainant on Fort Salonga Road on November 30 at 5:14 am reported his 1998 gray Pontiac Grand Am had become disabled when he tried to run a flooded roadway on Fon Salonga Road near Sandy Hollow Road. Notification was made to Highway Department to clear the drain; a tow truck was engaged to remove the vehicle. A 29-year-old male reported a neighbor problem on November 28 at 8:37 pm on Doris Avenue. On arrival responding officer was told the neigh- bor had dug a trench to lay electric lines to a garage between the property lines and had taken down a fence, leaving a sign on the property to put the fence back up as wind had blown it over. Complainant told officer this has been an ongoing problem as neighbor keeps taking down the fence and enters his property. Documenatation was wanted.
