Obituaries Vincent Maggio Vincent Maggio of Northport died on October 22 at the age of 78. He was born on September 23, 1927 in Astoria, the son of Vincent Maggio and Emily Stang. He was an analyst, conducting the time and motion study for the Long Island Lighting Company (LILCO). He was a World War II veteran, serving as a corporal in the Marine Corps. Mr. Maggio is survived by his wife, Georgette; his son Vincent Maggio and his wife Karen; his daughter. Gayle Moore; his daughter Cynthia and her husband Stuart Deviin; and his daugther Lynne and her husband Richard Conrad. A funeral service was held on October 25 at the funeral home, followed by interment at Genola Rural Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Nolan & Taylor-Howe Funeral Home of Northport. Anne Elizabeth Vettel Anne Vettel of Northport died on November 1 at the age of 93. She was born on June 25, 1912 in Mainz. Germany. the daughter of Jakob Veith and Anna Braun and worked as a chemical analyst for Helena Rubenstein of Roslyn. Mrs. Vettel is survived by her daughter. Anita and her husband, Bill Thomas; her daughter. Katherine and her husband, Jim Miller of Denver, Colorado: her six grandchildren; and her eight great-grandchildren. A funeral service was held at St. Philip Nen Church on November 4, followed by interment at Northport Rural Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Nolan & Taylor-Howe Funeral Home of Northport. James William Caracappa James Caracappa of East Northport died on Octaber 27 at the age of 82. Mr. Caracappa was born on March 5, 1923 in New York City, the son of Stefano Caracappa and Mary Tantillo. He worked as a manager for the New York City Telephone Company. A World War II veteran, he served in the Navy from 1943 through 1946. Mr. Caracappa is survived by his wife, Dorothy Caracappa: and his children, Denise and Douglas Caracappa. A funeral service was held at Northport Baptist Church, followed by interment at Genola Rural Cemetery. She was born on March 20, 1951 in Huntington, the daughter of Victor Muto and Virgima Mrs. Algernio was predeceased by her first husband. Pasquale Algeo. She is survived by her husband. Ralph Van Dyke and her mother. Virginia. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Fannella is survived by her father. Henry . her husband, Joseph E. Fannella; her daughter. Terry and her husband, Scott Dillon; her daughter. Sandy and her husband, Jason: her son. Danny Fannella; her sister, Judy; her brothers, Richard and Tom Rosilund, and her grandchildren, Meghan, Ryan and Christopher.
