In order to better listen to your words, Cherokee Arker Kings Park has launched its project web site www.kingsparktomorrow.com. On this web site, you can learn about our project concepts, get to know the property a little better, keep informed of project updates, and communicate directly with the project team. Cherokee Arker Kings Park has received dozens of personalized notes via email. Whether your thoughts are simple declarations that you support or oppose the project, or a detailed outline of concerns and suggestions, we welcome your correspondence. Every note or letter will be acknowledged, and to the greatest extent possible, individual responses will be sent in reply. Your CONC@rns There are currently several, understandable community concerns regarding any proposed project, including land use and zoning, population density, traffic impacts, environmental clean-up, impacts to local schools, and municipal services. I Q 5 S & i i E qsparktomorrow.com 4 Our Answers in an effort to forge a partnership with the community and begin addressing these concerns, Cherokee Arker Kings Park has met with local leaders such as NYS Senator John J. Flanagan and Town of Smithtown Supervisor Patrick Vecchio, as well as the Kings Park School District, Chamber of Commerce and Kings Park Neighbors' Association. We have intentionally delayed the design of a redevelopment plan for the site until we have hafi an opportunity to gather more input and advice from community stakeholders. This is why we cannot immediately address all of your specific concerns. We do not have all of the answers now, but over the next several months we will work with you to address all of your concerns. Your words will continue to matter, and we will continue to share our thoughts and progress with you in future articles and on our web site. Once a project concept plan that is reflective of community input is developed for presentation to the Town, we would invite your participation in the SEQR review and town rezoning application process.
