Students raise more than $9K for Katrina victims The Acts of Kindness Commuttee at Washington Drive Primary School orga- nized a walkathon with the theme An Hour for Change to benefit Humcane Katrina victims and to offer students the opportuni- ty to contribute to the recovery effort in the Gulf Coast area. More than 200 students, parents and teachers participated in the hour-long walk around - Oldfield Middle: School in Harborfields School District. Noreen Pascione. who 1s a member of the Acts of Kindness commuttee \Kids don't have much of their own maney to give. so we wanted to create a way for them to give their ume and energy instead.
