Food and wine of NY at Oscar's Oscar's of St. James. 522 North Country Road, St. James continues its year-long City Menu series highlighting the best of American regronal cuisine with a menu that stays close to home, a New York State harvest menu. A kickoff wine tasting dinner will take place on Sunday, September 18 beginning at 4 pm. This five-course tasting dinner. plus passed hors d'oeuvres, will feature a variety of foods from local growers and producers, along with wine, with each course. Ten to 20 different wines will be poured. Executive chef Henry Freidank will speak about the menu, and wine steward Robert Mack will speak about the wines. The price of the dinner is $85 plus tax and gratuity and includes wine. Dishes on the New York State menu will also be offered as daily specials at Oscar's during the fall season.
