MORGAN Disturbance On James Street it was tympana- numbing music as basis of complaint on July 7 at 5:27 pm. Host agreed to cease and desist musically. Loud noise in the form of landscapers digging away at 7:35 am on July 5 on Franklin Street near Reservoir Avenue caused a complaint. Responding officer told scapers they could only begin work at 8 am as provided by Village Code. Fireworks were reported from Ward Avenue near Thomas Lane on July 4 at 10:17 pm. On arrival the launchers were nowhere to be seen. Police confis- cated fireworks on July 4 at 10 pm on Ocean Avenue near Dogwood Road. The works were brought to Headquarters, soaked in water and destroyed. Fireworks were reported on July 4 at 8:50 pm on Willis Street near Earl Avenue. Complainant feared the launchings would set fire to her trees and house. Police confiscated all of the works. It was a boisterous fiesta on Woodbine Avenue near Fox Lane on July 4 at 43 minutes past midnight. Police officer constrained the host to reduce the decibels for the remainder of the night. Another loud bash manifested itself on July 3 at 11:36 pm on Sea Cove Road near Dolphin Lane. Police urged the participants to go tacit. They agreed. At 11:14 pm on July 3 a raucous bac- chanal was in session on Bayview Avenue near Stanton Street. Police officer held a confab with the hostess who graciously condescended to keep it muted. On Main Street near the Christian Science Reading Room it was fireworks on July 3 at 11:14 pm. Some of the launched incendiaries were striking complainant's residence. Police searched the area, but found no firework launchers. Troop F of the skateboard squadron was out on maneuvers on July 3 at 8:01 pm on Laure] Avenue near Chestnut Drive. They even placed a ramp on the street in order to go airborne. The troop dis- persed like down off a thistle at sight of the approaching blue-and-white. On Saltaire Place near Sea Cove Road on July 9 at 59 minutes past midnight complainant reported two males in the street yelling at one another. On arrival police learned they were friends arguing about girl troubles. Both machos agreed to take their fem- inine anxieties indoors and keep it low for the rest of the evening. They gra- ciously consented. Hazardous condition Two hazardous condition reports came in. One was on July 8 at 2:55 pm on Selma] Street where complainant said tree limb was hanging on over- head wires. LIPA was notified and responded. The other occurred on - the same day at 12:40 pm - on - Bayview Avenue. A tree limb had fallen, and wires were hanging low. Both LIPA and Cablevision were called. They responded. Criminal mischief Making graffiti was the offense reported on July 8 at 11:43 pm on Laure} Avenuo on the grounds of the Laurel Avenue School. Criminal mis- chicf in the third degree, a class E felony, was reported on July 6 at 10:42 am from an apartment on Main Street. A vehicle was vandalized. Criminal contempt in the second degree was the offense reported on July 3 at 4:05 pm on Highland Avenue. Police information A police information was issued on July 9 at 11:37 am on Stanton Street. It was a neighbor versus neighbor mat- ter. A 40-year-old male told police he was having trouble with his 52-year- old female neighbor who trespasses on his property frequently. This day she was asked to remove herself and her fence contractor from complainant's property. He also told her not to remove any portion of his fence. Documentation was asked.
