A reception was held last Thursday, where the Filexes' had a \meet and greet\ with mer and part-time groomer. Mrs. Felix runs the office, feeds the dogs, and administers medi- cation, according to her husband Mr. Felix told The Enterprise that he went to grooming school and has worked as a dog groomer for the past several years; Ledermann and his wife have bought a house \just up the road\ in Guilderland. •'C&. The Enterprise — Jarrett Carroll Doggie cuts at the kennel: The Mtamont Country Kennels at 220 Brandle Road now has new owners: Carl and Mary Felix. The couple have run the Altamont kennel since former owner, Ed Ledermann, stepped down a couple of weeks ago. Engstrom earns enrolled agent designation Maureen Engstrom (nee Bunzey) of Westerlo, has earned Enrolled Agent designation from the Internal Revenue Service - Director of Practice. Engstrom currently works as an associate and tax professional with W. Ralph Sommers, EA, of Guilderland. She has been prac- ticing in the area for a number of years as an accountant and now specializes in taxation. She is also a member of the National Association of Tax Professionals headquartered in Appleton, Wise, an association recognized by the IRS/New York State Department of Taxation for its liaison work and edu- cation seminar programs. ^e Business Coiner Guilderland chamber elects board GUILDERLAND —\The Guil- derland Chamber of Commerce has elected its 2006-07 board of directors and board officers: — Christine Bell, 1700 HHMI'JE^SF The Enterprise — Jarrett Carroll Building on the future: Guilderland's newest Italian restaurant is being constructed along Route 20 after controversial zoning approval and a town mandated re-zoning of the lot. The former Phebe's Florist Shop on 2026 Western Ave. is barely, recognizable as the new restaurant's owners, Connie Ware and her husband Mitch, makes plans for an upscale, fine dining establishment. Along with the addi- tion being constructed at the rear of the building, the structure itself is being completely renovated, inside and out. Christopher Betts Christopher Betts promoted at CPC Christopher Betts of Delmar has been named director of the Community Preservation Corp- oration's Eastern Regional office in Albany. Betts'joined ('PC in 2004 as assistant vice president. Betts has more than 15 years experience in the area of finance, community' development and financing affordable housing programs. Betts lives in Delmar with his wife, Diane, and their three boys. He earned a bachelor of arts degree from Columbia Univer- sity, a master of arts degree in sociology from the State Univer- sity of New York at Albany and a master of government admin- istration from the University of Pennsylvania.
