Bennett, 35, of 29 Second Ave., Albany, was ar- rested on March 10, at Cross- gates Mall, for petit larceny, fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, and posses- sion of burglary tools, all mis- demeanors. Bennett was ob- served by a store manger con- cealing various items in his backpack and also placed two T- shirts in between the backpack and himself, and, when he at- tempted to leave the store, he was approached by the manager and he fled from the manager, security, and members of the Guilderland Police Department, according to the arrest report. Bennett was eventually appre- hended in the parking lot out- side of the Museum Company store and he was found to be possession of stolen merchandise from several other stores, the report says. **** Nicholas M. Bilili, 16, of 1877 Fiero Ave., Rotterdam, was ar- rested on March 10, at Carman Road and Lydius Street, for fifth-degree criminal possession of marijuana, a misdemeanor. Guilderland Police say, Bilili was a passenger in a vehicle that was traveling south on Carman Road near the Guilderland town line and was stopped for a vehi- cle and traffic violation. Police smelled burned marijuana com- ing from inside the vehicle and saw \a cloud of smoke,\ and, upon investigation) it found that Bilili was smoking marijuana in public, according to the arrest report. A marijuana \blunt\ was found in Bilili's right shoe, the report says. **** Nicola C. Bynum, 25, of 106 Patrobn Dr., Guilderland, was arrested on March v 10, at her residence, for third-degree as- sault, with intention to cause physical injury, a misdemeanor. Bynum intentionally caused physical injury to the complain- ant by striking him in the back of the head with a telephone during a domestic dispute, and was taken in to custody by the Guilderland Police without inci- dent, according to the arrest re- port. **** Ann M. Estrado, 51, of 94 Lexington Ave., second floor, Albany, was arrested on March 10, at Crossgates Mall, for petit larceny, a misdemeanor. Es- trado was observed by Macy's loss prevention selecting mer- chandise and concealing it in her pocketbook, and left the store without paying for it, according to the arrest report. The mer- chandise included 41 pieces of costume jewelry, valued at $867.79, and was all recovered by Macy's, the report says. Guilderland Police say, Vonnegut was ob- served leaving Pine Bush Ele- mentary School with an expired inspection sticker, and a check with the state's Department of Motor Vehicles revealed an ex- pired registration, a suspended license, and no insurance cover- age on the vehicle. **** Jeffery J. Newhouse, 18, of 46 Snowberry Rd., Balston Spa, was arrested on March 7, at Cross- gates Mall, for petit larceny, a misdemeanor. Guilderland Po- lice say, Newhouse took $45.29 worth of merchandise from the FYE store without paying for it. Benjamin J. Moses, 46, of 310- Craig St., number 11, Guilder- land, was arrested on March 22, on Western Avenue near the reservoir, for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled sub- stance, and third-degree aggra- vated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, all misdemeanors. Moses drove into a ditch on Western Avenue near the reser- voir, and when Guilderland Po- lice arrived, Mosses appeared to be under the influence of drugs, according to the arrest report. In Moses's left front pants pocket, police found a glass pipe containing crack cocaine, and he was taken into custody where further tests were performed and Moses submitted to a breathalyzer test and a urinaly- sis, the report says. Domestic dispute leads to arrest By Jarrett Carroll GUILDERLAND — A heated domestic dispute on Saturday ended, police say, with the hus- band barricaded in his home and his wife locked outside. Guilderland Police responded to a call about a verbal dispute at 6348 Hawes Rd. in Altamont, between Salvatore J. Fusco and his wife. According to the police report, officers found Fusco's wife outside of their residence saying that her husband de- stroyed property within the home and had locked her out. When attempting to interview Fusco, the report says, officers discovered pieces of furniture against the home's doors, barri- cading himself inside. The re- port continues, saying, Fusco would not respond to officers and that police had to close their roadway for nearly two hours on Saturday afternoon. Investigator John Tashjian of the Guilderland Police Depart- ment was eventually able to speak with Fusco after several previous attempts, the report says, and convinced him to come out. There were no further inci- dents once Fusco was in police custody, according to the report. Fusco was arraigned before Guilderland Town Judge Denise Randall and an order of protec- tion was issued against Fusco by his wife. Fusco is charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief and- second-degree obstructing governmental administration, both misdemeanors. Jeanne L. Geisler, 31, of 113 Stoneridge Ct., number three, Altamont, was arrested on March 19, at Posson Road and Western Avenue, for driving while intoxicated, first offense, and operating a motor vehicle with a blood-alcohol content of .08 percent or greater, both mis- demeanors. Geisler was ob- served by an Emergency Medical Service worker driving on Parkwood Street with her rear hatch-door open and two pas- sengers hanging out of the vehi- cle, according to the arrest re- port. Guilderland Police say, Geisler was then observed by police driving east on Western Avenue, then south on Posson Road, with the rear hatch-door closed, but two passengers clearly visible in the vehicle not in proper passenger seats. When police stopped Geisler, her vehi- cle contained two passengers sitting in the front seat, with one sitting on the other's lap, two passengers in the rear passenger seats, and two more passengers sitting on the floor behind the rear passenger seats, the report says. Geisler displayed signs of intoxication when interviewed, according to Guilderland Police, and she was given a field- sobriety test, which she failed, and a breathalyzer test revealed a blood-alcohol content of .08 percent. **** Bobby A. McKelvin, 27, of 289 Clinton Ave., apartment 2 C, Albany, was ticketed on March 15, at Church Road and Western Avenue, for unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation. Guild- erland Police say, when they stopped McKelvin for a traffic violation, a strong odor of burned marijuana was present in his vehicle, and, after further inves- tigation, McKelvin was found to have in his possession one par- tially burned \blunt\ marijuana cigarette. Jennings, 28, of 90 Elm Ln., Greenville, was ar- rested on March 19, at Johnston Road and Oxford Hights, for third-degree aggravated unli- censed operation of a motor ve- hicle, a misdemeanor, unlawful possession of marijuana, a viola- tion, and speeding, an infraction. Guilderland Police say, Jennings was driving north on Johnston Road, was pulled over for speeding, and a check with the state's Department of Motor Ve- hicles revealed a license that was suspended a total of three times. When taken into custody, Jennings was found to have one plastic bag containing a quantity of marijuana and 10 partially smoked marijuana cigarettes were confiscated from his car, according to the arrest report. Gyoom A. Vyent, 32, of 5 Sil- verberry Place, Albany, was ar- rested on March 19, at Dutch Manor Lane and Western Ave- nue, for operating a motor vehi- cle with a suspended registra- tion, a misdemeanor, and Oper- ating a motor vehicle without an inspection sticker, an infraction. Vyent was stopped because he did not have a valid inspection sticker, and a check with the state's Department of Motor Ve- hicles revealed that his registra- tion was suspended because of an insurance lapse in June of 2005, according to Guilderland Police. **** Ryan E. Bloomfield, 17, of 181 Southern Blvd., Albany, was ticketed on March 21, at School- house Road and Wooodlake Road, for unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation, and fail- ing to stay in a single lane, an infraction. Bloomfield was ob- served driving west on Western Avenue by Guilderland Police and was stopped for making an unsafe lane change in the area of Fuller Road, the arrest report says. Upon investigation, Guild- erland Police say they smelled burned marijuana in the vehicle, and a partially burned mari- juana cigarette was found in the vehicle's ashtray. Katherine M. Limato, 19, of 3050 Fairfield Ave., Riverdale, N.Y., was arrested on March 16, at Crossgates Mall, for petit lar- ceny, a misdemeanor, and for unauthorized use and possession of a license, an infraction. Li- mato was observed in the H&M store, selecting one silver cell phone accessory and one pair of beaded earrings, worth a total of $8.80, and attempted to conceal them in her pocket, but was stopped by the store's loss- prevention: officer, according to the Guilderland Police. _.
