Mark Lutheran Church Wed in Church Rites CpQnty Supports the Arts We cordially invite all who wish to join us in celebrating the Birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to come to one or all of our Christmas season services. Our famous Chrismon tree will be up and decorated for the regular Worship services at 8: 15 a.m. and 11 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 20. \The children of the Sunday School and Youth Group will have their service at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 20. Not only will there be songs sung by the children, but there will be, also, a pageant, and special in- strumental music,. The Livingston County Board of Supervisors has in- cluded $3,000 in ilS1988 budget to be used by the Genesee Valley Council on the Arts to assist local art programs and activities. Under its \Local Incentive Funding Test\ (LIFI) the New York State Council on the Arts will match this with $2,000. The entire amount of $5,000 will be regranted by the GVCA to qualifying Livingston County organi7.ations. Non-profit groups which provide public community services are eligible to apply for grants up lO $1500. The deadline for receiving applications is January 30. For more infor- mation call or write the Council office at 243-1522. \Mendon Library Invites You to Use \New Software The Mendon Public Library now has new computer software and a second disc drive available for public use with their Apple lIe computer. wide range of ages and topics and is sure to be a great asset. New software is: Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?, Apple- works, Print Shop, Word Auack, and The Stickbear ABC. Also available is the original software: Bank Street Writer, Bank Street Speller and Algebra Arcade. On Dec. 24, there will be a family Worship Service with the Sacrament of Holy Communion at 7:30 p.m. At 11 p.m. there will be a Christmas Candlelight Service. On Christ- mas Day there will be a Festival Worship with the Sacrament of Holy Communion at 10:30 a.m., and on Sunday, Dec. 27 there wiII be the Worship Services at 8:15 a.m. and 11 am. with the Education Hour for all at 9:45 am. MR. AND MRS. BRUCE STAGGS The Friends of the Mendon Public Library pur- chased the items and are lO be thanked for their generosity. Membership dues and book sale money were the sources of the revenue and the Mendon Public Library and the Friends appre- ciate the community support. In addition the second drive makes storage of infor- mation possible. To help us thank God for the blessings of 1987 and to ask for His loving Help and Protection through 1988, there wiII be Worship Service with the Sacrament of Holy Communion on Dec. 31 at 7:30 p.m. The Stafford Baptist Church, in Stafford, Virginia, was the setting for the Ocl. 10 wedding of Lorrie Ann McDaniel lO Bruce Staggs. Lorrie is the daughter of AI and Sharon McDaniel of Five Points Rd. in • Honeoye Falls, and Bruce is the son of Odell and Pat Staggs of Waldron, Arkansas. She carried a bouquet of pink baby roses and carnations, which was made for her by the groom's sister. The maid of honor was Vicki McDaniel, sister of the bride. The best man, HN Mark Campbell, is a friend of the groom. A buffet reception was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. \Steven Milburn, friends of the couple. The bride was a 1977 graduate of Honeoye Falls-Lima Central School and has been employed as a secretary in Virginia. The bridegroom is a hospital Corpman for the Naval Medical Clinic and is stationed with the United States Navy at Quanitico, Virginia. The couple arc residing on the base of the Quanitico Naval Medical Clinic. Out of state guests. included; Mr. and Mrs. Odell Staggs of Waldron; Arkansas, Mr. and MrS.
