Although I like the winter and (believe it or not) the snow, I’m glad it will all be a mem- ory now. I’m not weary from the weather; I’m tired of being cooped-up. I miss puttering in my yard, walks through the neighborhood and “driveway” conversations with neighbors. Everyone seems to be happier in the spring and I’m guessing it’s from being able to “catch some rays”. When I close my eyes and think of spring I can’t help but smile be- cause I instantly have images of fowers foating before my eyes. Everything comes to life in the spring – as I’ve often said before –it’s the “earths’ rebirth” and every new spring I feel like I’ve been “re-born”. Everywhere I look, things are coming back to life after the long win- ter’s hibernation. Trees are sprouting leaves, fowers are popping up and the grass is turning green. Ahhh, Spring – New beginnings and the fantastic opportunity to do it all again. As I grow older – I realize, more and more, how fortunate I am to be able to experience the simple wonders that surround me. There are many that can no longer watch a sunset on the beach, hear a bird’s morning song or hug their loved ones. So, during the spring and my “re-birth” each and every year I do some of the many things that make me smile- Things like walking on the beach, driving through my childhood neighborhood and connecting with old friends. Ahhh, Spring. The air is flled with a fresh scent - an essence that I like to think of as the “scent of life”. Ahhh, the aroma of fowers and mowed grass. Ahhh, the joy of the outdoors – look out world – it’s “Spring” – I’m outside and I’m feeling free again. Try it – you may like it and you’ll be free of the winter blahs and smiling, but a warning to all – you may start dancing in your driveway... Happy Spring…. Happy Living!!!!!!!
